Our full fee schedule will be posted here soon. In the meantime, here are answers to the questions we get asked most about pricing, funding, insurance, and billing.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are your services covered by BC Autism Funding?
- Yes, we are approved service providers for the BC Autism Funding program. Please note that the B.C. Government is transitioning the Autism Funding program. Eligible families will shift to the Disability Benefit and expanded free community services starting in July 2026, with the full transition completing in March 2027. New families can apply under the current system until March 2027.
Learn more about these changes on the BC Government website. - Do you accept the At Home Program?
- Yes, we work with families receiving support through the At Home Program (AHP), which assists children and teens with severe disabilities. If your child is enrolled in the Medical Benefits portion of the AHP, they may be eligible for speech-language pathology services.
- Are speech therapy services covered by extended health benefits?
- Many employer extended health benefit plans provide coverage for speech-language pathology services. Coverage limits vary widely by plan (e.g., $500 per year, or 80% per session up to a maximum). We recommend checking your specific benefits booklet or contacting your insurance provider to confirm your coverage details.
- Do you offer direct billing to insurance companies?
- Depending on your specific insurance provider and plan, we may be able to offer direct billing. For providers where direct billing is not available, we provide a detailed receipt after each session that includes all the necessary information (including the clinician's registration number) for you to submit a claim for reimbursement.
- Do I need a doctor's referral to see a Speech-Language Pathologist?
- No, a doctor's referral is not required to access our services. You can contact us directly to book an appointment. However, some extended health insurance providers may require a physician's referral in order to reimburse you for the sessions. Please check with your insurance provider.
- What are your rates for assessments and therapy sessions?
- Our rates are based on the fee schedule recommended by Speech and Hearing BC. Assessment costs vary depending on the complexity and type of evaluation required. Therapy sessions are typically booked in 30, 45, or 60-minute increments. Please contact us directly for our current fee schedule.
