Your admission, your study permit, your start date

TOEFL and CAEL stand between you and your offer of admission. Programs set firm minimum scores, deadlines don’t move, and your study permit timeline depends on meeting them.

These exams test academic English — summarising a lecture, giving a spoken response under the clock, being understood the way you’ll need to be in seminars and tutorials. It’s a different challenge from everyday conversation.

Strong reader and writer — but Speaking keeps capping your score?

It’s a common pattern: solid grammar and vocabulary, but the Speaking section pulls the overall score below the cut-off. Under time pressure, fluency and pronunciation can slip.

Reading and writing are easier to practice alone. With speaking, it can be hard to hear what is affecting your score. Speech-language pathologists are trained to listen for it.

Clinicians who specialise in how you speak

We’re registered speech-language pathologists who assess and work on spoken communication for a living.

  • We start with an assessment

We identify the fluency and pronunciation patterns that affect your spoken responses.

  • Built for academic speaking

Integrated tasks, summarising lectures, and responding clearly under time pressure — the skills these exams assess.

  • Pronunciation and fluency are our specialty

These skills can be hard to work on alone, and they are central to our clinical training.

  • Confidence for the classroom too

The clarity you practice for the exam is the same clarity you’ll use in lectures, seminars, and presentations.

What we focus on for TOEFL & CAEL

We concentrate on the spoken-English skills these exams assess and that you’ll use while studying.

  • Speaking fluency

Responding smoothly and on time, with fewer hesitations and fillers.

  • Clear pronunciation

Working on the sounds that most affect how clearly you’re understood.

  • Integrated tasks

Listening, then speaking or summarising clearly — the format these academic exams rely on.

  • Academic confidence

Speaking clearly under pressure, so you’re ready for both the test and the seminar room.

Why clients trust our coaching

Every program is led by a registered speech-language pathologist. For us, clear spoken communication isn't a side service — it's our entire clinical field. That's the difference between coaching and a generic test-prep course.
